via Irkeshtam Pass or Torugart Pass. Road distance: ~1,000km. Transit time: 2-3 days by truck. TIR carnet accepted.
via Irkeshtam Pass. Distance: ~280km. The most active overland route. Daily truck crossings.
via Irkeshtam + Osh corridor. Currently 3-5 days by road. The CKU railway will reduce this to under 24 hours upon completion.
Kashgar is a TIR-authorized departure point. Goods under TIR carnet can pass through multiple borders with minimal customs inspection, significantly reducing transit time and costs.
The Kashgar Comprehensive Bonded Zone allows: import duty deferral, VAT exemption for re-export goods, and simplified customs declaration for transit trade.
